About Aaron Rubel

Speckled Trout 23_5

My love of fly fishing began in 1997, and I’ve been kayak fishing since 2006.  Whether catching my first fish years earlier at the age of two in the upper Midwest with my father or landing a tarpon on the fly in a kayak along the Gulf Coast, these are the type of adventures that I enjoy sharing through this blog.  I hope, as a result of the format of the stories, your knowledge of the sport is increased and you seek to discover new adventures for yourself!

Damn ! I’m really impressed about your flyfishing experience and background…I didn’t get all the details when sharing last time…anyway an invitation to have a flyfishing trip together in the Pyrenees remains valid, I must admit that gives me more pressure ! 🙂

Bonjour Habib! Ah, details, details…they weren’t important! Two things are constants in fly fishing: The fish will always humble us, and meeting new fellow fly anglers give us opportunity to learn something new about our sport! Was a pleasure meeting you last week in France, and I look forward to fishing with you in the Pyrenees! Thank you for the invite.

      Bonne journée,
      Aaron
